Manavgat Town Centre & Riverside

Riverside walks, shops, restaurants and cafés.

The Manavgat River runs through the middle of town, with walkways and bridges along its banks.

The bazaar has shops selling local products, restaurants and cafés.

🏛️ History

The name Manavgat comes from Manaua (Manava), a Byzantine bishopric; the form "Manavgat" appears in an Armenian source dated 1199. The area came under Seljuk rule in 1220 and Ottoman rule in 1472.

Today's town centre grew out of the merger of the villages of Pazarcı and Düşenbe.
