Zindan Castle

Remains of a Roman tower and wall on the bank of the Manavgat River.

In the Hisar quarter, on the west bank of the Manavgat River (ancient Melas), stand a square tower about 10 metres high and the remains of an adjoining wall. Dated to the early Roman period (1st century AD), it is thought to have been a garrison guarding river transport.

The site is a first-degree archaeological site within walking distance of the town centre.
